Frequently Asked Questions
What is TOP Adventures?

TOP Adventures is a new entrant into the exciting industry of outdoor adventure tourism that is owned and operated by the Town of Parachute. We offer new and affordable access to the beauty and excitement of the Western Slope of Colorado. We are located in Parachute, Colorado, which is mid-way between Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction, easily accessed off I-70 at exit 75.

What activities do you offer?

Because we are located on the Colorado River, during the summer season we are primarily a river operation offering rafting, kayaking and tubing adventures. Additionally, we have paddle boards which can be transported to area lakes and reservoirs and mountain bikes for local street and trail riding.

Do you offer OHV's?

Yes, for the 2020 season we have added four (4) Polaris Razor 1000s to our OHV fleet. These are state of the art machines that will provide thrilling access to our world-famous Battlement Reservoirs and the surrounding countryside. You are advised to call 970-986-9687 for reservations as these machines are in high demand.

What days of the week are you open?

We are open at our river site located on Misty Way Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8AM to 5PM and at our Town Hall from 8AM to 5PM Monday thru Thursday.

Is there parking available?

We have a paved parking lot at our river launch site that provides plenty of parking for cars and trucks with trailers. Furthermore, we are ADA compliant.

Is there food available?

A local food vender, Running Burrito, is co-located on the site to provide made-to-order Mexican specialties. We also have vending machines for soda, water, and snacks.

Are restrooms available?

We have port-a-potties available at both our river input and output sites.

Any other services that I should know about?

This year we have added mountain bikes to our lineup for use on and off trail. If you need a shuttle to a local put-in or take – out, let us know. A day trip to the Battlement Reservoirs for fishing, hiking or just picnicking can be a lot of fun on a hot summer day.

Any tips that you can offer to make our adventure more enjoyable?

Visit our T.O.P. Adventures web site and get as much information as possible about our activities. When on the river, wear a hat and sunglasses, use sunscreen and drink plenty of fluids. Above all, be safe and exercise good judgment with any of your activities.

We look forward to providing you with many opportunities to enjoy our beautiful area.
